The Harris County Courthouse Tunnel is Closed

I have previously mentioned how convenient it is to park in the Harris County Garage when going to the Criminal Justice Center because it allows me to skip the long lines outside the building and not worry about weather when I go to work.   I was disheartened when I returned from my Thanksgiving vacation to learn that the tunnel will be closed until February of 2011.  It is just my luck that after bragging about how lucky I am that I do not have to worry about needing a coat, gloves, or an umbrella on my way to work the tunnel is now closed for repairs.  For the first time in years, I need to pay attention to the weather before going to work.  I have worn my topcoat more the last two weeks to court then I had the previous two years combined.  The annoying part of wearing the topcoat is where to keep it once I make it to the court.  I have essentially two options, I can take it with me to every court that I must attend or leave it in one court and pick it up when I leave the courthouse.  Either way it is annoying.

Luckily, my murder and assault of a child trials were reset this week.  It is incredibly bothersome to take all my trial equipment along with my winter clothing to court.
