Sad News Rocks My World
I am sorry that this blog is not specifically criminal law related, but I feel the need to write. While professionally, things are continuing to go well for me 2011 has not been the best of years for me personally. The news did not get any better when I received a call from one of my former client's father today informing me that he found his son dead in his bedroom today. I was informed of this sad news this morning during my docket. Frankly, I had to take a few minutes to compose myself before going to my next client. As a criminal lawyer I have come to understand that there are injustices in the world, but when I find out that someone that is intelligent and passionate about life dies too young it deeply saddens me. My client was in his early 20's. I can not imagine being a parent that has to bury a child so young. My heart goes out to his family.
