Your Lawyer Is Out For A While
Not sure whether my recent emergency hospitalization was just bad luck or part of the aging process. Since having the emergency surgery my doctor informed me that I will out of actioin for two to four weeks. This is difficult for a small law firm because the criminal courts continue to operate business as usual despite an illness. Their dockets do not stop just because a lawyer is sick. So far, the courts have been understanding of my situation. Luckily, my business partner, Mario Madrid, will be covering my share of our docket. I hope that my clients understand the bind that Mario will be in for the next couple of weeks while he tries to cover both our dockets. You will be in the best of hands with him. I promise to get back to work as soon as I can even if that means that I return to work before I am one hundred percent. The last three days in the hospital have been tough enough, I can not believe I will be here for another week or so.
