Men Accused of Robbery for Stealing $1

One dollar may not be a lot of money, but the concept behind stealing any amount of money is illegal. If you are caught robbing someone of even a small amount of money, it can be an illegal act that can land you jail time or fines. According to Houston Eyewitness News, two men who are currently facing charges for an armed robbery only took $1 from a victim. The court documents, which were released on February 10th, claim that the victim received a call from one of his friends who asked him to help him with his car. When the victim arrived at the parking lot to help his friend, the two criminals charged at him and punched him in the torso.
The victim was held up as the criminals ran to their vehicle and loaded a shotgun. They pointed this gun at the victim and help him at gunpoint while they went through his pockets. They found only a $1 bill and took the money before running. According to the victim, the two suspects intended to kill him but neighbors from apartments surrounding the parking lot were approaching. This scared the robbers off. The two criminals have been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. As a result, they have been place dun custody and will need to attend a trial.
