A: If proven consent is a defense. However, in many cases involving minors, someone under the age of 17, consent is not a defense.


Q: What if the person is a minor, someone under 17 years of age, and said they were an adult, above the age of 17?
A: In Texas the fact that a minor lied about their age is not a defense to any type of sexual crimes if there is more than a three year age difference.


Q: Will I have to register as a sexual offender?
A: In Texas when someone is convicted of a sexual assault crime they are required to register as a sexual offender.


Q: What is the difference between Rape and Sexual Assault?
